 As the muscle car wars heated up, Plymouth unleashed the GTX in the mid-size intermediate field. Based on the Belvedere, the GTX rose to the top.  Upgrades included heavy duty suspension, twin hood scoops and the legendary 426 c.i. HEMI engine option.  It had style and performance, doing 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
